ADVOCATING SPINA BIFIDA & CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS

Here You Will Learn About My Daughter; Jojo. A 9 Year Old Little Girl With A Story Of Strength, Courage, Love & Fight! Her story turned into a awesome fan based she named Team Jojo After fighting her entire life. Joanna aka Jojo was born with Spina Bifida April 3, 2003 and has suffered several medical conditions due to her disability. Battling right beside my daughter from the day she was born has been a rough thing for me to watch. Just when life seemed to calm down for Jojo she was then diagnosed with a rare form of Cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. Jojo's new & continued battled has drove my passion to help others. Advocating about Spina Bifida & Childhood Cancer is so important to me. Everyone seems to think it will never happen to them, but indeed it does happen. It happens to so many innocent children daily. Throughout this journey which has not only included just me & Jojo but my other 2 daughters as well. A person does not just get cancer, the family does. I am a proud Mom of 3 beautiful daughters & I strive to spread my daughter's story in hope that it will leave an impact on others lives & make others aware of this nasty disease!

Throughout this journey Jojo & my family have had an outpouring of love & support. We could NEVER repay what we have been given, but we can advocate & help someone else feel loved & supported as much as we were.
THANK YOU!

What Cancer Did Not Do:

Cancer WAS so limited...
It did NOT cripple love, it spread it.
It did NOT shatter hope, it built foundations of hope.
It did NOT corrode faith, it made it ever lasting.
It did NOT eat away peace, it has us searching even harder for a cure .
It did NOT destroy confidence, it showed us what to be thankful for.
It did NOT kill friendship, it built many many more.
It did NOT shut out memories, we are making new ones.
It did NOT silence courage, it made us louder for this fight.
It did NOT reduce eternal life, it only made it even prettier.
It did NOT quench the Spirit, it drove us to keep kicking your a** with every breath we take!!!!!

"If Jojo has the ability to ignore all odds and percentages & keep smiling, then maybe we can all learn from her. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope & pray? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or fight like hell."
